Welcome

We warmly welcome you to our school and hope that this website is both informative and helpful.
St Barnabas and St Philip’s is a thriving Church of England Primary School in the heart of Kensington, committed to providing a broad and balanced education within a secure Christian education environment.  As a Church school the promotion of a Christian ethos is very important to us all.  We aim to promote Christian values for ourselves and others and warmly welcome parents and children in sympathy with those ideals.

High standards of behaviour and attainment are expected of all our pupils.  We want all our pupils to leave the school proud of their own success and with the necessary skills, knowledge and positive attitude to face the future with confidence.

St Barnabas and St Philip’s is a caring school with a strong partnership with the two local parish Churches.  All the children meet daily for worship in school, and although the school is traditionally Anglican, the teaching of all major world religions takes place together and an awareness of other cultures and festivals is nurtured.
The school has a dedicated, enthusiastic team of staff who have high expectations of all pupils.  As a one-form entry school, the staff, pride themselves in knowing all the pupils at the school and creating a safe environment in which all pupils can flourish.  The school is inclusive, ensuring equality of opportunity for all pupils.
The school has a committed governing body that meet twice termly to consider all aspects of the school organisation.
Our active Parent, Staff and Friends Association are involved in all aspects of social and fund raising events.  Finance from the PSFA has helped to purchase additional educational equipment that ensures that both pupils and staff have the necessary resources for effective learning. We hope that as parents you will develop a close relationship with the school and be actively involved in supporting your child’s learning.

I hope you enjoy viewing the information on our website.  I look forward to meeting you.
