Internet Safety

Helping children and young people stay safe on-line is vital. It is also a constant challenge to keep up with changing technology.

While increased access to the internet gives many families huge benefits there is also a real danger of children accessing harmful material.

We here at St Barnabas & St Philip's School understand that keeping our children safe is vital and it is taught as part of our wider curriculum through direct teaching, circle time, assemblies and PSHE.

The National Curriculum for computing outlines that pupils use technology safely and respectfully, recognise acceptable and unacceptable behaviour, keep personal information private; identify where to go to for help and support when they have concerns about content and contact on the internet and other online technologies.

We regularly run online parents workshops to support our community.

For more information visit the online safety pages on the Parent's section and the Children's section of our website.
